As a part of the vibrant University of Mississippi campus, the Museum hosts a number of lectures related to the collections and special exhibitions. Leading experts in a variety of fields speak at the Museum, offering academic connections, artistic experience, and rare insight. Lectures are free and open to the public.

Carolyn Brown, “The Artist’s Sketch: A Biography of Painter Kate Freeman Clark” based upon her recently released book by the same name. Held in conjunction with the exhibition, “Lasting Impressions: Restoring Kate Freeman Clark”.
Angela Howard, professor of Asian art at Rutgers University, held in conjunction with “Dunhuang through the Lens of James and Lucy Lo” photography exhibition.
